Meet the Team
Stephanie Paxton-Penman LLB (Hons)
Associate member of AMINZ Mediator
Since graduating with first class honours in 1998 Stephanie has specialised predominantly in property, estate, trust, relationship property and commercial matters.
Stephanie has worked around the world on some of New Zealand’s largest commercial deals, property deals and relationship property matters. Equally she has worked with small to medium operators, working class families, and generations of families. And she brings to each and every dealing a desire to help her clients and walk beside them to reach an outcome that allows them to move forward.
This desire to walk beside her clients has led Stephanie to being appointed as an associate member of AMINZ, focusing on mediation in her areas of expertise. Stephanie is an advocate for self-determined outcomes within the law, making choices for you and your family without the constraints of a court written script and a determination by a stranger.

Stephanie is passionate about the law and has a practice which she is incredibly proud of. She works for clients from all walks of life, she loves people, she loves their stories, she is interested in their narratives, and she enjoys working with them to navigate the personal journey (and sometimes storms) that they face.

Outside of the office Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym, doing yoga and pilates, balanced of course with good food, good wine and a splash of fun!

Stephen Dudding LLB
Partner

Having been a general practitioner since 1973 it is an understatement to say that Stephen has a wealth of knowledge and experience in law! Stephen has a real interest in the extraordinary things that happen to ordinary people: buying and selling houses, businesses, death and illness, divorce, debts and wealth creation. Stephen is also extremely experienced in the areas of copyright and film and television contracting.

He is blessed with a large and loving family – he has three daughters and (so far) eight granddaughters. Family life has given him a very specific way of looking at law and legal services as everything you do legally from preparing a will to setting up a business impacts on three or more generations and the legal structures, he says, must protect and serve all of those generations.
Having an ability to see the wood for the trees during a crisis is definitely one of Stephen’s greatest skills.

Caleb Paxton-Penman LLB
Solicitor
Having recently graduated Caleb has joined the firm as a solicitor although he has been a friendly face around the place from its inception.
Caleb enjoys the challenge of the law, looking at a problem and working out ways to solve it. He also enjoys the client contact, hearing their stories and helping them with their legal issues.

An avid Manchester United fan and soccer player means that when he is not at work he is either kicking a ball around with his social team, supporting his younger brother or cheering on his favorite players.

Alan Bosselmann
Practice Manager and Executive Assistant
Alan has recently joined the firm, a complete career change from the past 20 + years spent in the Civil Construction space, predominately in Managerial roles.
Alan has a strong understanding of what it takes to run a successful business and enjoy the challenges that come with that.
He has strengths in managing people, processes, and absorbing and understanding complex information. He says that there are a number of things that he loves about working in the Paxton-Penman Law Offices:

-
Working with a team of people who really care about what they do and who always strive for the best outcome for our clients. The collective experience in the firm is immense and our client base reflects this. We have long term significant clients who continuously use us, and a majority of our new work is from referrals from our existing clients (including the ones from the other side!)

-
I really like being part of a process that assists our clients through whatever challenge they may be dealing with. Being part of a successful outcome for someone is very satisfying

-
I enjoy the diversity of work that we provide for our clients
Alan’s non work time is focussed on spending quality time with family, enjoying being at home , gardening and doing projects around the house. He also loves to travel, enjoys great food and wine, spending time with friends, and getting a little "bit of texture" in our lives.

Jennie Morgan
Legal Support Warkworth
Jennie joined the firm in February 2020 after moving North with her husband Anton.

Prior to joining Paxton-Penman et al Jennie had worked for many years in law mainly with sole practitioners and other small practices on the Shore. Jennie's wealth of knowledge and experience has meant that she is a key player within our conveyancing team and has recently embarked on studying towards a Legal Executive Diploma to further enhance her skills.
Jennie enjoys the diversity of people who she meets and has a soft spot for conveyancing, from first home buyers graduating to their own home or empty nesters retreating to quieter quarters.
Outside of the office Jennie enjoys travelling to sunny climates, a good musical, off-road adventures with her pooches, and celebrating life’s milestones with good food and fine wine, surrounded by family and friends.

Frances Dudding
